A messy, poorly planned garden that produces anyway. Sometimes we don’t have to stress about the rules — we just do what we can with what we’ve got.
That’s the whole philosophy behind this two-part garden tour. No perfect spacing, no color-coded planting chart — just vegetables going in wherever there was room, and somehow it worked out.
Part two picks up further down the bed, where squash and cucumbers have taken over the trellis completely — vines climbing every spare inch of wire, with our dog making her usual inspection of the dirt below.
If there’s a lesson in these two clips, it’s this: a garden doesn’t need to be tidy to be worth tending. Ours definitely isn’t, and it still keeps us fed.
